Bury Me Babe

By Cricket Saleh

"It is important to preface this synopsis, by mentioning the difficulty in finding the discarded examples of human consumption within the boundaries of the You Yangs national park. What was found was either semi buried, or left within hours, as indicated by the date on a plastic bread bag clip. On one of my trips to the site, I clocked an empty water bottle, and intended to collect it on my return sweep. I was both moved and irritated to see it picked up by another, as I had already added it to my still life, in my head.

My response to the magnetic You Yangs, is a continuing discussion on human consumption, and that which we discard."
